10 Of Our Favourite Places in England

Over the past few years we have explored various parts of England that we hadn't been to whilst growing up, and it has given us a much greater appreciation for this little country we call home. In this article we will share 10 of our favourite places in England at the moment, that we would recommend visiting!

1) The Cotswolds

One of our favourite locations for a winter weekend getaway! Characterful towns and beautiful countryside walks! Be sure to check out places such as Bibury, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Upper & Lower Slaughter, and Bourton-on-the-Water, to name a few!

2) Isle of Wight

Isle of Wight is a really beautiful place! Amazing landscapes, charming little towns, fantastic beaches and our childhood favourite - Blackgang Chine! You can read more about Isle of Wight HERE, on a blog we wrote a while back.

3) Dorset

We love Dorset! The beautiful Jurassic Coast, with the likes of Durdle Door, Lulworth Cover and Old Harry Rocks to explore. Incredible landscapes, beaches and dreamy coastal walks. There is so much to see! We usually like to stay in Swanage as a base.

4) The New Forest

Full of woodlands, countryside and wildlife. Plenty to explore! Need we say more.

5) Cornwall

Home to wild moorlands, sandy beaches, picturesque harbour villages, towering cliffs and incredible coastlines. Cornwall has so much to offer and so much to explore! Click HERE to read about Our 10 Favourite Spots in Cornwall!

6) Kent

Kent is where we've spent the last 9 years of marriage together. We really like living here, there are so many nice places to explore within this county. We will be sharing a whole separate article about our favourite places in Kent in the coming months! Look out for it!

7) Beachy Head

There's nothing quite like the windy walk from Seven Sisters to Beachy Head, with the views of Beachy Head Lighthouse on the way! Gorgeous rolling hills and jig-saw shaped cliffs - a beautiful way to spend the day!

8) The Lake District

Hands down, our favourite outdoorsy location in England. It has a special place in our hearts and we'll never grow tired of visiting the Lake District. Click HERE to read our article on the Top 12 Things To Do in The Lake District.

9) The Peak District

Beautiful limestone valleys, dramatic gritstone ridges and wild moorlands. The Peak District has so much to offer. One of the best places in the country for a walking holiday in our opinion.

10) Norfolk

From what we've seen of Norfolk so far, we love it. It's such a peaceful place to be. Wide open landscapes and stunning scenery . We also like how most people just seem far more chilled out than those from the South-East of England. Horsey Gap beach is one of our favourite spots, and you can often find seals there. We also enjoyed visiting places such as Cromer town and taking a boat out on the Norfolk Broads.

We've enjoyed exploring and making photos in all 10 of these beautiful locations!
